Week 3 people skills

I have watched some video clips that made by classmates and also my video that has done with my partner. I think I should put some text to make the video clearer and also put some music to catch the audience attention.

Today I learned about people skills through a questionnaire. It has 15 different people skills for example diplomacy, problem-solving abilities, persuasion, and honesty. The questionnaire seems to be easy but it’s not that easy because of the choices it provided. It wasn’t easy to pick the one that suit me best. I had to rethinking the choices then select the best one.   

 

Week 2 vdo and reflection

Reflection

Today Mr.C taught about breakthrough skills which include developing global mindset, practicing cultural agility, managing relationships, and creating opportunity. Mr.C let us observed people in the campus and took notes what we have seen. Partner and I have observed at the canteen. We got many case studies, around 5 cases. But we put only 2 case studies which were interesting in the vdo above. The 2 cases were Mr.C talked with another foreigner and the other was chinese student with the ticket seller. 

Week 1 Business Communication

Reflection

Today I learned about business and professional communication and it was a first class of this semester. We have read about what is business and professional communication. Business and professional communication refers to all forms of speaking, listening, relating, and responding both human and electronically mediated.

   

We also read one case study which was about Maria and her first teleconference with the new team from Singapore. There had problems between Maria and Kiran. Maria wanted to show that she really worked hard and prepared for this project but Kiran wanted her to listen to some missed information that was not in the report or memo. Maria was angry and upset; on the other hand Kiran got the first impression from this meeting because Maria put a lot of effort to achieve her duties.
