Reflection
Today I learned about business
and professional communication and it was a first class of this semester. We
have read about what is business and professional communication. Business and
professional communication refers to all forms of speaking, listening,
relating, and responding both human and electronically mediated.
We also read one case study which
was about Maria and her first teleconference with the new team from Singapore. There
had problems between Maria and Kiran. Maria wanted to show that she really
worked hard and prepared for this project but Kiran wanted her to listen to
some missed information that was not in the report or memo. Maria was angry and
upset; on the other hand Kiran got the first impression from this meeting
because Maria put a lot of effort to achieve her duties.
